					<description><![CDATA[Some cameras are now coming with more than the standard metering modes. Might be a good idea to list some of those in the post as well.  Plus every camera&#039;s metering system is different. I have had some cameras that the in camera metering was horrible. Good thing for digital feed back!]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[NTL Login, Your problem is that you are probably using a spot-metering and the camera is reading a shadow area. Because of this the camera is trying to expose the shadow area by firing the flash. Try using a center-weighted or matrix metering and see if that fixes your problem.
