Hi Shivanand Sharma,

I recently came across your website which is surely a positive platform for every amateur to hone their photography skills.
But there's just one thing which i find find quite muddy...while going through your articles...the page number of the article page is not mentioned anywhere, which actually confused me when i lost the page count....
Its a minor thing but it will everyone going through your articles & will never will loose the count of page they were on.

I enjoyed your story and comments....
I have been doing photography since the 1970's which includes photojournalism crime scenes and documentary photos.....
I have restarted the family business again after my second stroke only now I am doing digital photos the basics are the same just readjustments on the equipment... I do a lot of event photography mostly classical cars and bikes... many times I have been approached by people who ask what camera do you recommend my answer is always which ever one works for you it is not the camera but the person using it... or I am asked are you a professional photographer I simply tell them I am a photographer there is a difference....
Some Pro's or so called Pro's think they know everything and really dont a Photographer is experimenting practicing perfecting his skills like a sniper always learning practicing perfecting knowing the time he she knows it all is when they have passed from this life...
A Photographer will help those who are starting new young old they will give out advice to help that person (s) be better at what they do...
When I see people at events taking photos with camera's phone cameras I will always suggest something to improve their shots or I will take the phone/camera from them and have them with their families.... i always recommend this site as well because it is well done I enjoy it I always learn something I keep past posting on file because when I get ready to do a certain shot or project I can go back and research the technique
Keep up the great work and have a fantastic week and keep the info coming you provide a great service like I stated before I have had two strokes and the memory is half shot the other half never knew it :)) Refreshing is good

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I think being honest with oneself is the first step to taking your photography to the next level.

@william: Yes I shoot RAW primarily because I have a lot of leverage during the post-processing. Pls also see https://www.apnphotographyschool.com/raw-jpeg-format-shoot/.

I enjoyed reading your "22 Facts About the Author". I am 68 years old and love taking photo. I do a pretty good job but my problem is working with computers. I hate them but one can not live with out them. My camer is a Nikon D70 and several lenses. Wish I could make a "few" $s and buy a D7000, (yes D7000) the D800 is out of sight. All my photos are shot in JEPEG. You did not say what you are shooting in, RAW I guess.

well….I'm a photography "baby" not "new born" anymore hehe just have a strong passion for it but need more time, more practice, better gear and so on…I'm shy too about what you mentioned lol and thx for sharing all those points…knowing that a guy like you with great skills, creativity and knowleadge about light and camera feels like this makes me think that you are humble and thats a great virtue :)
I come from an undeveloped country in South America and I don't have the money nor possibilities of buying the great things that are offered out there :), but I won't let this disappoint me and I will go on working with what I have and trying to improve every day :). I would like you to recommend some camera and lenses so I can search for second hand ones ;)
I wanted to tell u that I am very interested in every article of Advanced Photography and that I have read, practiced and learned (in this order) lots of tips from you, so I feel like saying thank you for that and that I hope you can get the chance you want about working as a commercial photographer, I'm sure you must be so much better than many already working in that...

I try my best to take my camera everywhere I go and I notice that I'm always very strict with myself regarding the results ;) I'm still sha to share my pics with photographers but when I daré to…I will show some here :)
thank you very much

Pro or not, your blog has been the most informative, inspirational and enthusiastic site for blossoming photographers. The difference between you and a "pro" is that the pros charge (but I do hear you on the gear envy!)
